narrative text



Narrative text
Definition: narrative text is a text to amuse the readers about the imaginary story it can be a fable, legent, myth, and many more.
Generic structure:
1.      Orientation: is an introduction to the characters in the story, what happened, where and when the events occurred.
2.      Complication: is the problem among the characters.
3.      Resolution: is the problem can be solved.
4.      Re-orientation: is closing statement.
Specific text:
1.      Using past event.
2.      Usually started by adverb of time.
3.      Using conjuction such as: then, before, etc.
Purpose: the purpose of narrative is to entertain and comfort people.
Example:          
The Painters Sky
 Orientation
In a village there lived five children. Their daily is to work to help their parents. They are working as laborers and farmers. They are work to get out of the misery.
Resolution
Complication
At one moment, they plan to go to the city of yogyakarta. To be on vacation the end they worked very hard to earn money. And then the next week they managed to raise enough money. Finally they were on holiday with a feeling of satisfaction.
Re-orientation
After a vacation to the city of yogyakarta, they finally went home. they told there during the incident to his friends. And finally they were doing everything as usual anymore.
