recount text



Recount text
Definition: recount text is a text which retells events or experiences the writer in the past.
Generic structure:
1.      Orientation: tells who was involved, what happened, where the events took place, and when it happened.
2.      Events: that tells the sequence of events.
3.      Re-orientation: that tells about the summary of the events.
Specific text:
1.      Using Past Tense.
2.      Using action verb.
3.      Using conjuction such as: then, before, etc.
4.      Usually started by adverb of time.
Purpose: the purpose of recount text is to informing the reader about past events the writer.
Example:
            Vacation to my hometown
Orientation
On Sunday, 28 august 2011 at 01:00, my brother and i returned to my home town. My hometown in southern lampung. My house was near the harbor. I returned to my hometown on a motorbike.
Events

I felt very excited to be returned to my hometown on a motorbike because there are fun events during the trip. I leaved at 01:00 for not stuck in traffic. During my trip, i played the songs the band avenged to remove sleepiness. At 06:00 i arrived at my hometown. At 08:00 i went to way kambas. I saw many elephants there. And after that i went to place a hot water bath to relieve tiredness. And at 17:00 i was home again. And in the morning i helped my uncle to harvest chili. 
Re-orientation 
On 31 august at 16:00 i went to jakarta. At 20:00 i got home. Although i felt tired but i was still happy on vacation to my hometown.
